There was a buzz in the air last week at Forest River Marine’s dealer meeting and it wasn’t just the drone flying above all the 2017 boats that were on display. There is excitement and enthusiasm in the air as the Indiana-based manufacturer gave its dealers a chance to see the new models and changes for the upcoming year.
The new 527RS UDS XR 3.0+ is part of the South Bay 500 Series with the 527 RS (radius benches forward and aft) including an upper deck with slide and the 3.0 + designating its premium triple tube package.
The XR designates the new upper deck framework. The upper deck is a complete new design that will be available in the RS version as well as the Entertainment model.
Part of the South Bay 900 Series, the 25 Sport RS9DC has an RS floorplan with new for 2017, a Dual Console layout along with the 3.0 + premium triple tube package.
There are also new color combinations, shown here on an existing 523RS Arch boat model with matching forward and aft benches. The interior is Carbon Fiber Pearl with Kiwi accent by Lexington Seating. The flooring is different from 2016 as it is installed on a slant or bias at no additional cost to conventional linear teak vinyl.

The two other Forest River Marine lines--Berkshire Pontoons and the newly branded Trifecta pontoon line--have similar model changes for 2017 with photos being posted at a later date.
