ICAST Show Cancelled

April 2020 News Trade Only News

American Sportfishing Association president Glenn Hughes announced that ICAST, scheduled for July 14-17 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., has been canceled and will run as a virtual show.

The ICAST board of directors made the decision late last week, as speculation grew about the difficulties of staging the show amid the covid-19 pandemic.

“Cancelling this year’s show was the only decision that could be made when considering everyone’s well-being and the impact the pandemic is having on the sportfishing industry and our economy,” Hughes said in a statement.

ASA said it is working out the details of ICAST 2020 Online and expects to update stakeholders in the coming weeks.

Hughes added that the ASA would be contacting exhibitors to discuss how they would participate in the virtual event, refunds and more.
